What is my obsession with weight? Why can't I be happy with life as I am? I struggle with questions like these on a daily basis.
One day I am "Gun ho" on getting healthy! Yahoo!!! Drink water, eat good foods, take the stairs, park as far away as I can from any and every building I have to enter. Those are the good days.
Other days I want to slap every skinny person that walks by. Screw the stairs, illegally park in the handicap spaces (Being fat counts as a handicap, right?)...water??? Who needs it?
Bi-polar much?
I would say yes.
I honestly think an addiction to food is the worst addiction to have. Tobacco, Meth, Pain Pills....they are all nothing compared to food. We need food to survive. We pass dozens of fast food restaurants when we drive, we have food in our homes...at all times...how can we possibly give it up?
Lately, I have found myself dreaming about food...not even in my sleep can I escape my favorite foods.
Will this ever get any easier?
Any addiction is a bad addiction, I don't know that I personally would put one above another. I'm no real expert at avoiding addiction, but I do know that as you continue to work at it, it does get easier. Many of my friends have overcome one addiction or another, they all say the same thing. "It sucks, but I did it." If you keep trying you'll get there.
ReplyDeleteIt'll get easier, it's just going to take time =) you'll get through it! XD
ReplyDeleteTime, time, time. It's true that it takes time, but it is also going to take a lot of discipline.
Deleteoh Sophia :( i feel your pain, this is how i feel too. all the time. and there's always candy in my house too. Easter was sunday and there's sugar EVERYWHERE in my house. :p and it's hard: school from 10-3, work 3-9, than homework, who has time to stop and make an actual meal. it doesn't help i AND my boyfriend (who i live with) both work pizza. it's to simple to come home and throw a pizza in the oven, bam, dinners done...i feel your pain love, let it out. If it makes you feel better I think you're BEAUTIFUL
